The Chamaleon Kid
Born in Gavà (1978), a small town near Barcelona, I grew up surrounded by comicbooks, and learning the graphic arts thanks to my father’s design studio.
I started working after my degree in Graphic Desing for a comicbook publishing house, and after that I designed magazines, books, packaging, logos, beer labels and a lot of work. Still today I do compagine my graphic design work with my illustrations and storyboards.
My first work as a cartoonist was a comic (one page) series on a children magazine, that run for almost three years. After that and publishing my first solo album “Bonjour Paris” I left the spanish market to travel to Paris. Where Delcourt published my long graphic novels “Burmese Moons” (Published recently in english worldwide) and “Notre Histoire” (two part book).
I also did other works in between, in video games, for games like Minecraft or Race the Sun I did promotional art, also for the awarded STAY I did concept design and storyboard.
After finishing those long projects I decided I needed a change. I started writing everyday once I moved to Minorca and enrolled the creative writting workshop in the island. So I started writing my own children books, using my experience with my three kids.
“Otto el Sheriff” and the trilogy “Learn english with DOG” had been the fruit of my last two years.
As well as drawing my short stories were published in different magazines in Spain, and my novellette “The Quiet Man” was well received, which push me to write something larger: “Edolon Zero” was born. That was my first scifi novel with illustrations and designs made by myself.
Today, I’m looking forward to new challenges. Maybe it will a project we can develop together.
